HMT - Environmental methods

Electronic remote monitoring offers a wide range of environmentally relevant procedures. HMT develops the respective measurement methods.

Measurement of solids content

in the overflow of a TSHD. Using double measurement for solids mass (TDS and mixture density and velocity) the amount of solids mass in the overflow can be detected.

Measurement of turbidity cloud

(light attenuation) behind a dump barge. With light attenuation measurement carried along the water column at the lee side of a dump barge the turbidity cloud can be visualized.

Monitoring a desalination process

Sand loads dredged at sea may be desalinated during sailing to inland harbour locations.
